John Ramsay

Director and principal of own consulting company past 2 years. Services in health, human services, environment, planning and natural resources. Projects of particular relevance include review of National Environment Protection Council Acts and operations for the Environment Protection and Heritage Ministerial Council and the second review of Tasmanian Regional Forest Agreement for Tasmanian and Commonwealth Governments.

Secretary - Department of Health and Human Services 1999-2005.

Secretary - Department Primary Industries, Water and Environment, Department of Environment and Land Management, and Department of Environment and Planning during 1989-1999. Chair of many associated Tasmanian and national boards and committees including the national committee that developed the Intergovernamental Agreement on the Environment.

Secretary - Law Department, Secretary Attorney-General's Department during period 1982-1989.

Extensive experience as chair and member of State and national Councils, committees and advisory groups relevant to environmental management issues.

Qualified as a Lawyer since 1976.

Dr Christine Mucha

Dr Christine Mucha has been the Chief Executive Officer of Hobart Water since 1997. Before entering the water industry, Dr Mucha held a number of senior roles in Government. She has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons), is a Doctor of Philosophy and has post graduate qualifications in agricultural economics and Business Management. Dr Mucha was winner of the Telstra Tasmanian Business Women's Award Corporate and Government category in 2000 and named Tasmania's inaugural Business Leader of the Year in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Companion of Engineers Australia. Current Board memberships include: Director, TCCI; Board Member, Water Services Association of Australia; Chair, Wellington Park Management Trust; Chair, NRM South; Member RMPAT; Member Steering Committee, Derwent Estuary Program.

Ian Abernethy

Currently Director Development Service - Launceston City Council.

Current and past experience in strategic development and planning; environmental and natural resource management; representing LCC on a number of committees including State of the Environment. Approximately 20 years experience.

Steered the Tamar Valley air quality programs for the last seven years.

Worked in a senior management role at LCC.

Degree in town planning.

Current Board member of Tamar Natural Resource Management Group.

Wayne Petrass

Wayne Petrass has over twenty years diverse experience in environmental management and environmental engineering and combined qualifications in natural resource and engineering. He has worked in government and the private sector in Tasmania and interstate, has worked in several countries in Asia mainly on Asian Development Bank and World Bank projects, and is now an independent consultant.

Warren Jones

Warren Jones has worked in the Tasmanian environment agency since 1980. He also worked as a teacher at both secondary and tertiary levels and in the private sector. During his time in the environment agency, Mr Jones has occupied many positions ranging from regulatory roles through to policy development. He has been the General Manager of the Environment Division since 1998 and also holds the statutory position of Director of the Environment Protection Authority established under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act.

Mr Jones has a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours and a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies.

He currently sits on a number of decision-making and advisory bodies including the Assessment Committee for Dam Construction, the Marine Farming Planning Review Panel and the Forest Practices Advisory Council.
